Factsheet Environmental change and migration in developing countries

Most studies suggest that Switzerland will not be rolled over by big waves of environmental refugees. Population movements triggered by climate factors mostly take place over short distances - within states and, to a lesser extent, among neighbouring states. The challenge for Switzerland is to provide assistance on site.
